My name is Walter McKenzie and I’m a career educator, ed tech innovator and a leader in nonprofit association work.
Since the beginning of my career, I have helped educators have meaningful impact, committed to engaging, connecting and elevating them as they work to transform the profession.
Today’s organizations are evolving as you read this, quickly redefining their value. The benefits of these quickly-occurring shifts are many, as new ways to plug into teaching and learning organizations help them to become more relevant, agile and resilient in meeting the needs of professionals and the communities they serve. Through my four decades in public education and nonprofit associations, I have learned to meet these challenges, understanding the impact of engaging educators in their important work. From teacher, instructional leader and assistant superintendent in Arlington, Virginia public schools to strategic advisor, director and senior director at ASCD, I've encountered neverending opportunities to amplify education and elevate its role in society. I love my work!
Please join me as we continue to transform education for next generations. There is nothing like making a difference alongside like-minded professionals who have their eyes on the future.
